The tote is divided into four sections, one for each of the basic skills; alphabet, numbers, shapes and colors.

Each section contains a teaching chart, a board book, puzzles and flash cards. The tools within each section are fully coordinated so the toddler receives a consistent message. For example, in the alphabet section, A is for alligator on the teaching chart, in the book and on the flashcards.

The guide also offers suggestions on how to supplement the pack. For example, when working on the alphabet, have some fun with it, sing the alphabet song, check out alphabet books from the local library or make letters of the alphabet using play dough.
